Course Overview
This is a lecture and interactive course that will focus on assessment and identification of mandatory signs of concussion requiring appropriate action and identification of discretionary signs which may also alert clinicians to concussive injury. Through identification of concussive signs, clinicians will be better equipped to provide quality patient-focused care and thus improve the health-related quality of life in the athletic population. This workshop will review the injury and expose attendees to the findings of the most current research. The focus will focus on monitoring of physical activity for the incidence of concussive injury, especially those situations where injury may have occurred and the injury was not observed by team medical personnel.
