Athletics health and performance program review
Meet the November 3, 2028 NCAA attestation deadline with a review your leadership can sign with confidence. Reviews are delivered through Andrews Athlete.
The Requirement
NCAA Bylaw 20.2.4.23
The NCAA requires a comprehensive review of mental and physical health, safety and performance support services, including legislative and policy requirements and best practice considerations.
- WhoAll Division I schools, plus Division II and III schools with a sport that competes in Division I.
- WhenAt least once every four years; first due November 3, 2028.
- Sign-offThe president or chancellor, director of athletics and athletics health care administrator all sign the attestation.
Why an Independent Partner
Stronger footing for the three signers
The bylaw allows a self-review, but an outside review gives the three signers stronger footing.
Objectivity
Staff who run the programs are not grading their own work.
Protection for signers
Leaders attest based on an independent expert's findings.
Privilege
A review engaged through university counsel can be protected under attorney-client privilege.
Capacity
One team covers sports medicine, mental health, performance, nutrition and sport science, without pulling your staff off their daily work.
